Azad Jammu Kashmir Medical College
Azad Jammu Kashmir Medical College (AJK Medical College or AJK MC) is a medical school located in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir. It was established in 2012. Teaching hospitals affiliated with the college are Combined Military Hospital Muzaffarabad, largest hospital in Azad Kashmir spreading on 70 thousand square meters〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Hospital )〕 and Abbas Institute of Medical Sciences, one of the oldest hospitals in Azad Kashmir. The people of Azad Kashmir had a dire need of a Medical College which was highlighted in the Earthquake of 2005 which exposed the severe shortage of local medical facilities as well as doctors and trained nurses as patients had to be transported to the long distances which resulted in mortality.
